Ceramics Festival

Terra in Focus

A ceramics festival that is held in different locations in the historic city centre of Delft from 23 April to 4 June 2011. The title centres on modern ceramic art, with ceramics as its focal point. The word terra is an international concept for earth, which produces clay - the raw material for all ceramics.

The foundation Stichting Keramiek Promotie Delft organises this festival that puts Delft on the European map as a ceramics city. The owners of Terra Delft Gallery, Joka Doedens and Simone Haak, will act as curators. Terra Delft Gallery has been the centre point for modern ceramics in Delft for more than 25 years, and the gallery is an international focal point too. Simone Haak and Joka Doedens' choices in the selection of their artists have given them a chance to acquire international recognition.

The festive opening takes place on Saturday 23 April 2011 at 11.00 hours in the Oude Kerk in Delft.
